Never left Rotterdam.

My last post on this blog was couple of years ago but nothing has changed. I still love Rotterdam and I am still here. I lived in few other cities in between but now I am living and studying here. Be careful of what you wish for!

And for the first time I am actually attending Dutch language courses! Will see how that goes!

What is my EVS?

I work in USE-IT Rotterdam what is information center for young budget travelers and backpackers and is useful for international students as well. My duties are connected with giving information about the possibilities [eating, drinking sleeping etc] in Rotterdam. If you want to discover Rotterdam a bit more, I will guide you around the city in a cool bike/scooter tour because we organize them as well! In July and August I work in a hostel Sleep-in Mafkees what is connected with my organization and is open during tourism season. There my duties are to work at reception plus organize all kind of events to entertain hostel guests, like theme parties, pub crawls, alternative tours etc.

Funny facts I've discovered.

Rotterdam and Amsterdam are not friends. They call each other by phone codes. If I'm going to Amsterdam, I say I go to 020. The same do they. Rotterdam is 010.

Dutch girls are not shy. They go and pick up guys, so guys here have less work to do.

I'm not so tall.

Weather is changing here so fast that it's impossible to plan something with it. There is a lot of different kind of web pages about weather [you can even see how many hours of sun is predicted in a day].

This summer we had 7 sunny days. Dutch people LOVE statistics.

Joint doesn't taste so good when it's legal.
